Intervention is identifying and providing adequate early support to children and young people at risk of poor outcomes. Effective intervention works to prevent problems from occurring or tackle them head-on before issues become worse. It also helps foster a whole set of personal strengths and skills that prepare a child for adult life.
Intervention can support parents to improve their children’s overall development and change the family and learning ecosystems. Intervention has its most substantial impact during the first few years of a child’s life. (0-3 years old)
What can be achieved through Intervention?
Intervention works to reduce the risk factors and increase the protective factors in a child’s life. It focuses on supporting four critical aspects of child development (physical, cognitive, behavioural and social-emotional) where it can make the most significant difference and provide benefits throughout a person’s life.
At Imagine If, we have a deep understanding of the risk factors and we are uniquely placed to prevent and address these challenges holistically with our teams of highly skilled practitioners.
