The Sibling Support Group is for brothers and sisters, ages 5-16, of children experiencing diverse abilities. Sometimes, siblings become lost among the therapeutic needs of their brother or sister. This group is a special time for siblings to participate in fun activities, learn advocacy strategies and self-care techniques, and engage with other siblings sharing similar experiences.
Sibling Support Group’s mission is to provide a safe, comfortable space for sharing honestly about what it’s like to be the sibling of someone experiencing diverse abilities. At Imagine If, we envision a society in which siblings are acknowledged and honored for who they are and the role they play in complicated family dynamics involving children with any kind of special learning, physical or communication challenge.
